Task 4 - Planning

The Plan:

The plan is to put most of my time into creating the assets so I can quickly make the base assets that I need and then build upon them when needs be. I was also thinking of creating the map/environment as a small area so it leaves me to work into a small space area to have stuff detailed than having a open space which gives me a lot more stuff to do to make it all work out. I want to have most of my assets done around in a few weeks, specially creating the harder assets, so it leaves me to create the easy ones near the end of the project.

This of course giving myself a lot of my personal time to the project in my spare time which I am okay to do. My only worry is learning the new software that I am going to do which will give me time to learn it on and how to use it properly but will happy to do that in my own time learning new things.

I will also need to make sure that I give my weekly updates for this project and also update the production blog with things that I've done up to now in detail so I can have a good work standard that I should be set for my upcoming weeks for my work.

Planning:

On my current plan is work on my assets and get a good idea of how unity and blender works together. As of now I've started working on blender and how it works and manipulates. I've looked at a few tutorial videos so this gives me an idea on how the software works. I also need to start thinking about creating other asset such as furniture/objects.

I recently learned that I can use blender to make tree I will be moving forward on to that some time soon and make sure that I would turn out okay for my final project. Again this will require learning more about the software again.

I have been messing around with unity and how it works again since it has been some time using it again. I've been creating prototypes on what I want my level to look like and been gathering ideas for the looks of my environment, my idea is that I will create a small level to work on to have some really detailed assets my focus is to create the harder assets first then create the easier ones near the end.

I've made a map prototype with in unity using the unity assets this will give me a really good base idea for what I want my level to look like I used different types of looks and assets to give me various types of idea, and I've also learnt different stuff on unity which I could add on the my level to add more detail and realistic feature to my level.

You can see that I've took different types of screen shots. This is the type of example that I wanted to go for and this will help me plan things along as I go through. I want the assets really detailed and textured.

I've work on some more 3d modelling, I decided to create a modern chair on blender and will be moving on from their and which would imply that I want to have a modern look to my level. The chair is going to be very detailed and turned out really good. I want to improve on it by making it more complex by going more depth in detail. But I will do this at a later date as I go along my schedule to improve it some time soon.
